Across Connecticut, there are hundreds of independent insurance brokers who are ready to help you select your health and dental insurance – for free! They are trained and certified each year by Access Health CT, so they remain a trusted resource. And they can help with just about anything related to getting health or dental insurance.
What is a Broker?
A health insurance broker is a licensed professional who can help people or small businesses find and sign up for health or dental insurance. Certified Brokers will help you understand your insurance options, pick the best health or dental plan for you and your family and help you sign up.
Brokers certified by Access Health CT are committed to helping their communities and serving your needs. They’re non-biased about the insurance offered through us, so you won’t get a sales pitch. You’ll simply get free help choosing what works for you.
What can brokers help with?
Broker assistance is 100% free — in person or over the phone. Certified Brokers can help you:
- Understand the different insurance options available through Access Health CT. They can also help you select the health or dental plan that works best for you and your family.
- Help you complete your application and submit required verification documents.
- Explain how to use your insurance so you get the most benefit.
- Be a helpful resource all year long — not just when you’re enrolling.
How can you find a Certified Broker?
To find and connect with a Certified Broker:
- Visit the Assistance Search page on AccessHealthCT.com.
- Check the “Certified Broker” option.
- Enter your ZIP Code, how far you’re willing to travel and your preferred language (many Certified Brokers are multilingual). Then hit “Search” and explore your results.
It’s worth contacting a Certified Broker even if there isn’t one located in your town. Brokers may have more than one office, may travel to meet clients or may be able to help you over the phone.
